The dores gala started of in the late 70's along in the field where mill croft houses are now, it ran for many years then had a relapse. We got it started again six years ago as there was an interest and people wanted to get it up and running again. We had three successful gala's but a few people in the committee were burnt out and needed a rest so we had a three year gap, again there was interest so here we are today we had an AGM on 14th of April and formed a new committee of 12 people. We have decided to do it on a smaller scale, by having a small fete gala day on saturday the 4th of september 2010 and have a marquee dance at night.
